Faces of Caliber: Brandon Losse on Market Pressures and Leading Through Uncertainty

At Caliber, our people are at the heart of what we do. Brandon Losse is part of the team helping move projects forward while staying grounded in why the work matters. For Brandon, the idea is simple. The more you invest in something, the more you get out of it. That belief shows up in his work, his health, and how he approaches challenges day to day.

In business development, Brandon reflects that being thoughtful is required for his role. “There’s a lot of behind the scenes work that goes into what I do that a lot of people just aren’t familiar with,” he says. Much of his time is spent reaching out, building relationships, and staying focused on long term opportunities. In a market where projects have slowed and uncertainty is common, he sees value in staying consistent and putting in the work even when results are not immediate.

“The more you invest in something, the more you get out of it.”

A few years ago, Brandon had to take a hard look at how he was showing up. High stress and health challenges made it clear that things were out of balance. During a walk with his wife, they came across a community garden and signed up for a plot. What started as a small commitment became something more meaningful. Caring for the garden offered a reset and a reminder that effort, patience, and consistency lead to results over time.

“I was completely out of balance. Finding the garden helped me reset.”

That experience changed how Brandon approaches both work and life. “The healthier you are in body, mind, and spirit, the better you can give back to the work that you’re doing day in and day out,” he says. By taking care of himself, he is better equipped to handle the pressures of the industry and show up for his team.

That same mindset carries into the projects he supports across the Lower Mainland. Whether visiting site, meeting with partners, or working through challenges behind the scenes, Brandon focuses on staying present and engaged. The goal is always the same. Invest the time and effort needed to help projects succeed and deliver real value to the communities they serve.

“The healthier and more invested you are, the more you can give back to the work and people around you.”

For Brandon, the work matters most when care and effort are put into it. Investing in the work, the people, and yourself is what allows real impact to happen.
