Caliber Projects is a multi-family construction management company.  We specialize in managing and constructing townhomes, condos & apartment projects with precision and speed.  We have a great team that is focused on performing at a very high level while also having fun.

Job Summary:

This full-time job opportunity is based out of Langley, B.C. and is best suited for an individual who appreciates innovation, desires to work in a hands-on environment and aspires to work as financial controller. With excellent character and communication skills, the candidate must have the ability to work in a multi-disciplined team environment and be flexible to the changing needs within a fast-paced environment. The aspiring controller should be willing to start employment immediately.

The individual will be experienced in accounting and desire to learn and take on all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Controller responsibilities will also include financial risk management, human resources management, and bookkeeping duties such as payroll, remittances, accounts payable, and day to day business operating expenses.

Required Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • 2+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Advanced degree in Accounting
  • Enrolled in the CPA program
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience with creating financial statements
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
  • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills

Position Type: Full time

Description of Duties:

  • Working with Site superintendent to complete carpentry tasks
  • Working independently & with other members of the team
  • Misc. framing and back framing
  • Exterior formwork & framing for stairs, sidewalks and concrete pads
  • Machine work for cleaning and moving material
  • Quality control

Skills and Requirements:

  • Outgoing personality with a positive attitude, able to connect with people.
  • Experience with hand tools and power tools
  • Construction or framing background
  • Experience with operating equipment would be beneficial

Compensation: $20-25 + based on experience

Position Type: Full time

Description of Duties:

  • Machine work for cleaning and moving material
  • Level sand/gravel for slabs on grade
  • Install rebar in slabs on grade
  • Sweeping of units at different stages of construction
  • Pressure washing driveways, garages, and exteriors
  • Organizing storage and tool bins
  • Maintain catch basin filters for ESC requirements
  • General site clean up
  • Miscellaneous tasks and duties as directed by the site superintendent

Skills and Requirements:

  • Outgoing personality with a positive attitude, able to connect with people
  • Being able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Experience with operating equipment (specifically a skidsteer) an asset
  • Hard-working, reliable, and punctual attitude

Compensation: $15-18 + based on experience
